Mt. Zion Community
Reinvestment Corporation
Equity. Access. Impact.

Mt. Zion Community Reinvestment Corporation (CRC) is a nonprofit in Albany, Georgia, dedicated to empowering underserved families through integrated health, education, and wellness programs. Through the Samaritan Clinic, we provide low- and no-cost medical, dental, and vision care, along with support for chronic conditions and access to essential services. We also champion community health through Project Elevation and the Women of Wellness (WOW) initiative, offering education and screenings that address disparities among men and women. Our commitment to lifelong well-being continues with CAPS (Claiming Academic Power and Success), an Afterschool and Summer Enrichment Tutoring Program that builds academic skills, confidence, and leadership in young learners. Together, our programs create a pathway to wellness, learning, and opportunity for families across Southwest Georgia.

Project refocus
A partnership between Phoebe, CDC Foundation, and Mt Zion CRC to Reimagine Public Health Responses and Resilient Communities. The city of Albany/Dougherty County is one of six communities participating in this project.
COVID-19 has illustrated that public health practitioners need access to data and tools that appropriately identify, respond to, culturally tailor, and reach historically marginalized and/or racialized populations during crises. Project REFOCUS was conceptualized as a collaborative and community-informed effort to address these challenges.
